Dr. Seuss and Jop

Dr. Seuss’ children’s books seem to be very popular in the United States. Jop even got “One fish two fish red fish blue fish” as a birthday present. What we didn’t know at the time is that dr. Seuss gave a rather good description of Jop. Jop discovered that when he read the book the other day and discovered his own name:

Hop! Hop! Hop!
I am a Yop.
All I like to do is hop

This also solves the problem we have explaining to some people that Jop should be pronounced as Yop and not as Job. We can now just say: “Remember One fish two fish red fish blue fish?”
